As a mark of Cypriot wine culture, exhibiting Wineries from Sunday 16th of March, at this year’s edition of the International Prowein Exhibition, will come to Düsseldorf with an idea to bring closer Cyprus expressions of its wine heritage. The effort for 3-day exhibition is one of sharing the passions that is nurturing ancestral native grape varieties grown on phylloxera-free vines.

A unique opportunity to meet a new generation of winemakers that have in the last decades poured their energies into both large-scale wineries and family-run boutique wineries, for the creation of unique wines shaping a shared gastronomic culture on the island.

Heritage vineyards represent immense challenges in producing high quality wines while respecting biodiversity and ancestral vineyard ecosystem.

Every sip is a celebration of Cyprus’ fascinating wine heritage, bringing us closer to its legacy with every taste.

The availability of phylloxera-free vines has allowed Cypriot winemakers to nurture traditional bush vine cultivation of Cyprus ancestral grape and to create new, modern-day distinctive wine expressions, reinterpreting the likes of Commandaria, that has contributed to the story of Cypriot winemaking across the ages.
